Through BDSM, we have the ability to transform and reshape the stories we tell about ourselves.
That is power.
And pleasure. And pain.
MxBliss, (she/they) has been transformed by her BDSM (bondage, dominance/ submission, sadism, masochism) practice and is committed to sharing the joys with other consenting adults. She is well known for how she builds connection and fosters intimacy with her play partners. While she believes kink is mostly about play, it can also be a way to share cathartic and transformational experiences.
As an older, queer, femme-presenting POC who didn’t initially feel welcome in the shibari community, she is dedicated to rope education accessibility. Her rope style is best described as connective western rope with a mix, largely self-taught, of American, circus, and eastern rope (shibari and kinbaku) styles. She is heavily influenced by her self-suspension practice. Bliss has been touching rope nearly every day for over 4 years and during that time has done hundreds of rope suspensions. While she changes her Topping style dynamically based on what’s been negotiated, her default style is a uniquely connective style with strong elements of Dominance.
Sometimes BDSM play looks like dressing up and role play. Sometimes it looks like sheer terror. Sometimes it looks like two consenting adults dancing. And sometimes, in fact most times, it looks like people sharing their most vulnerable parts of themselves knowing that they are accepted and embraced for who they are, where they are on their journey. And this is why she ties and Tops.
The hallmarks of her engagement are enthusiasm and commitment to learning and self improvement. As a practicing attorney, Bliss values and centers communication, consent, and negotiation as cornerstones for all she does in kink (and life). She loves the ways BDSM allows each of us to overcome shame, rewrite negative narratives we have about ourselves, and live fully (and joyfully). She also loves the way it allows us to play, in darkness and in light.
Bliss is an experienced educator, facilitator, and lifestyle Dominant and frequently teaches classes on rope and all sorts of aspects of kink-related communications including flirting, negotiating, consent, dispute resolution, and diversity/inclusion. She comes from a career where she taught extensively in various corporate and non-profit environments.
Bound Bliss exists to enable her alter, MxBliss, to serve her kink community and advance consent, diversity, inclusion, and stellar communications in a financially accessible way. As an educator, performer, event host, rope studio operator, and community advocate, MxBliss is committed to making rope/BDSM education accessible, especially to BIPOC and LGBTQI+ communities. For that reason, Bound Bliss offers priority access and services to paying clients so MxBliss can also provide community-focused services and resources.
MxBliss centers BIPOC, queer/trans, and body-neutral inclusivity and strives to learn and grow in this way, every day.
